Choose northern-island time and the correct arrival port
For a Galapagos liveaboard itinerary focused on Wolf and Darwin, compare actual days at those islands before comparing cabin nights. Galapagos Sky’s Ocean Wonders sample gives three northern-island days on a seven-night SCY round trip. Its Deep Blue sample gives five on a ten-night route between San Cristobal and Baltra, in either direction. The longer cruise also adds a Cabo Marshall/Roca Blanca day.[2][3]
The day plans below reproduce the operator’s published sequence as planning examples, not guaranteed daily access or instructions for independent diving. Weather and operating decisions can change sites. They are specialist dive itineraries; a general wildlife cruise is not an alternative way to obtain the same dives.[2][3]

Seven-night itinerary: days one and two
Day 1, Sunday: arrive at San Cristobal (SCY), meet the crew under the departure instructions and board. The sample includes the welcome briefing, dive-master interview, mandatory safety drill and an Isla Lobos check-out dive. This is a travel and preparation day, not a full northern-island dive day.[2]
Day 2, Monday: North Seymour land visit in the morning, followed by two Cousins Rock dives in the afternoon. This lets you see a land site before the boat’s northern-island segment. If you add time ashore before the cruise, keep the Sunday joining instructions attached to your plan rather than assuming you can join at whichever island is convenient.[2]
[2] Ocean Wonders 7-night - Galapagos Liveaboard ItinerarySeven-night itinerary: days three to five at Wolf and Darwin
Day 3, Tuesday: Wolf, with four scheduled dives including an optional night dive. Day 4, Wednesday: four scheduled Darwin dives. Day 5, Thursday: two Darwin dives and one afternoon Wolf dive. These are the operator’s sample allocations, dependent on conditions, rather than guaranteed dives or wildlife encounters.[2]
Wolf and Darwin are the remote northern section of this trip; the sample offers no shore excursions at those islands. The night dive is not a beginner training session: Sky requires night-diving experience, primary and backup lights and a tank light, and says lights are not available for rent or loan.[2][4]
[2] Ocean Wonders 7-night - Galapagos Liveaboard ItinerarySeven-night itinerary: western islands and the return
Day 6, Friday: three scheduled dives across Cape Douglas on Fernandina and Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela. Sky identifies Punta Vicente Roca as its coldest site, so the warmer northern dives are not a sufficient basis for selecting exposure protection.[2]
Day 7, Saturday: a morning Pinzon dive, followed by a Santa Cruz highlands visit and time in town. Day 8, Sunday: disembark at San Cristobal; the sample lists 8:30 am and a possible Interpretation Center visit before the airport. The live FAQ gives a slightly different approximate disembarkation time, so use your final transfer voucher for the actual meeting time.[2][5]
[2] Ocean Wonders 7-night - Galapagos Liveaboard ItineraryTen-night itinerary: what the extra nights add
Day 1: embark via the confirmed SCY or GPS joining point; the sample names an Isla Lobos check-out dive for SCY arrivals or Mosquera for Baltra arrivals. Day 2: North Seymour land visit and two Cousins Rock dives.[3]
Days 3–7: the published northern sequence is Wolf on days three and four, Darwin on days five and six, then two Darwin dives and an afternoon Wolf dive on day seven. The sample lists four dives on each of days three to six, with a night dive included on day three. The material difference from seven nights is five northern-island days rather than three.[3]
Day 8: Cape Douglas/Fernandina and Punta Vicente Roca/Isabela. Day 9: the extra Cabo Marshall/Roca Blanca dive day, with two scheduled dives. Day 10: Pinzon and the Santa Cruz land visit. Day 11: disembark and transfer at the confirmed finishing island. The webpage presents this sequence starting on Sunday, but it also explicitly allows opposite island directions: use the dated programme supplied for your sailing rather than treating the weekday example as every ten-night departure.[3]
[3] Deep Blue 10-night - Galapagos Liveaboard ItineraryWhy the dive totals should not decide the booking
Sky’s itinerary FAQ quotes 18 dives for seven nights and 29 for ten. The individual day allocations do not reconcile cleanly with those headline totals. Compare the named sites and time in the north, and have the booking identify the planned dives; do not calculate a guaranteed cost per dive from inconsistent source labels.[2][3]
Aggressor III’s May 2026 Know Before You Go document has a similar mismatch: approximately 19 dives in its summary and 21–24 in its detailed itinerary. None of these published totals overrides conditions, the guide’s decisions or your own participation limits.[8]
[2] Ocean Wonders 7-night - Galapagos Liveaboard ItineraryAggressor III is a different route, not a different Sky cabin
Aggressor III’s published travel instructions use a Thursday morning Baltra (GPS) arrival and boarding at the Itabaca Channel on the Baltra side. They recommend spending the previous night in Quito or Guayaquil. Sky’s standard seven-night arrival is Sunday at San Cristobal (SCY). Choose the boat and dated programme before buying the island flight.[8][2]
Aggressor’s reviewed document associates Wolf and Darwin with its cool/dry-season itinerary and names closer sites for the warm season, whereas Sky’s FAQ says it visits Wolf and Darwin on every trip. Those are operator-specific descriptions, not a park-wide seasonal ban established by this guide. If northern diving is essential, obtain the actual itinerary for the departure rather than applying Sky’s promise to Aggressor.[8][5]
[8] Galapagos Aggressor III: Know Before You Go, May 13 2026Diving ability, transfers and flights need their own margins
Sky recommends 50–100 open-water dives and recent experience with current, negative entries and tender exits. Its Nitrox pages disagree on whether an uncertified diver misses all or some northern-island dives, and it does not offer Nitrox training onboard. Resolve those restrictions before choosing a longer itinerary for dives you may not be permitted to join.[4][5]
Keep international arrival, mainland overnight stay, island flight and yacht transfer as separate arrangements. For ten nights, confirm both island airports explicitly: a Baltra finish is not a San Cristobal finish. After diving, plan onward flying and any altitude exposure using the actual last-dive time and appropriate diving-medical guidance; a yacht’s check-out time is not medical clearance.
[4] Diving in the Galapagos - Galapagos SkyCompare the extra nights against the whole trip cost
Sky’s published 2027 Deluxe rate is $7,495 for seven nights and $8,890 for ten; Master is $7,795 and $9,290 respectively. The ten-night premium is $1,395 in Deluxe or $1,495 in Master before extras. That buys the longer published programme, not a guaranteed wildlife encounter or guaranteed cabin availability.[7]
Flights, insurance, rental equipment, gratuities and listed park, transit-card and chamber charges remain outside the cruise fare. Add a quoted mainland hotel or extra island nights separately instead of comparing only the cruise totals. Sources reviewed 25 October 2026.
