Who Dewi Nusantara suits
Dewi Nusantara accommodates up to 18 guests in nine cabins. Its room choice is unusually clear: eight adaptable twin/double Deluxe Staterooms below the main deck, or one much larger aft Master Suite on the main deck. It suits divers who value cabin space and a dedicated camera workspace, provided the actual route matches their experience.
It is not a default learn-to-dive holiday. The operator normally offers recreational diving and may offer Nitrox training, but says it typically does not provide other onboard instruction. Strong-current sites occur on some routes, and the remote itinerary can make emergency evacuation difficult.

| Who benefits most | Friends needing separate beds or a couple comparing the standard shared rate | A couple prioritising substantial extra living space and a stern view |
| Sole occupancy in published terms | 65% supplement on the per-person shared package rate | 100% supplement on the per-person shared package rate |
What the solo supplement means
The operator quotes packages per person on a two-person shared basis. Its terms specify a 65% supplement for sole use of a Deluxe Stateroom and 100% for sole use of the Master Suite. These are not discounts on the whole holiday. Request a sole-use invoice that identifies both the cabin category and which extras are charged per guest.
If you book a shared berth instead, the FAQ says you are likely to share with another guest of the same gender unless you pay for guaranteed single use. An unoccupied second bed at the moment of enquiry is not a private-cabin guarantee.
Dewi Nusantara: shared rates and single supplementsDated Raja Ampat loop versus a one-way voyage
The official booking widget linked from Dewi’s schedules page lists cruise 2702 on 22 January–2 February 2027: 11 nights, All of Raja Ampat, Sorong–Sorong. It separately lists cruise 2705 on 25 February–8 March 2027: 11 nights, Raja Ampat, Misool and South-West Halmahera, Sorong–Ternate. Those are different travel plans despite equal duration.
The Sorong loop is the simpler airport pair if you want to concentrate on Raja Ampat. The Sorong–Ternate voyage adds a regional crossing and needs an onward flight from a different gateway. These examples were checked on 25 October 2026; they are not live cabin offers. The programme’s name does not guarantee any individual site or wildlife encounter.
The operator recommends arriving one day before embarkation because delayed flights can miss the departure. Cruise-day airport/vessel transfers are included; arriving a day early does not make the arrival-day hotel transfer automatically included. Domestic and international flights are separate.
Dewi Nusantara: official departure searchDiving requirements and tender routine
Proof of certification and diving insurance is required. The operator’s FAQ makes dive accident, medical and evacuation coverage mandatory; it also requires the pre-trip forms. The reviewed primary pages do not establish a universal 50-dive minimum for every departure. Do not treat a reseller’s generic threshold as the vessel’s complete admission policy. Get the exact programme’s acceptance criteria against your recent dive history.
All diving is from two tenders, using backward-roll entry and ladder return. The operations page states no more than four divers per guide; a private guide is an extra, subject to availability and requested at least three months before the cruise. Divers must remain with a buddy, stay within certification limits and plan no-decompression dives. The FAQ gives a maximum planned dive time of 60 minutes including the safety stop.
Up to four dives per day may be offered; the last diving day has at most two shallow morning dives, depending on conditions and flight/no-fly requirements. This schedule does not certify your personal flight interval. Nitrox up to 32% is an extra for appropriately qualified divers; notify the team at least four weeks ahead if requesting onboard Nitrox training.
Dewi Nusantara: paperwork, dive limits and Nitrox FAQCamera facilities and charging rules
The main-deck camera room has individual workspaces, charging stations and storage, with a separate cameras-only rinse tank on the dive deck. The operator describes 220V supply and access to 110V transformers. These facilities make the boat worth considering if preparing a camera housing is a substantial part of each diving day.
Charging electrical devices in guest cabins is not permitted under the FAQ’s current rule. Use the designated stations and follow the onboard briefing for cameras, dive lights and power banks; a socket listed in a cabin description is not permission to charge a battery there. Photographers must still follow the group and buddy rules on drift dives.
Dewi Nusantara: photography and onboard charging rulesPrice the package and the excluded charges separately
The package includes cabin accommodation, meals, specified drinks, air fills, weights, weight belts, dive guiding and cruise-day transfers. Local beer and one glass of wine at dinner are listed inclusions; that is not an unlimited imported-drinks package. Flights, pre/post-cruise hotels, rental gear and Nitrox are separate. The terms also exclude park/harbour fees, long-distance fees, fuel and currency surcharges, and applicable government charges. Starlink vouchers are paid extras in the FAQ.
Use the official departure search for the dated cabin-category price, then request the full invoice with every supplement. A booking card’s headline rate is not enough to price the Master Suite, a sole-use cabin or the final payable trip. No fixed all-in Dewi price is claimed here.
For direct individual bookings, the published terms require a non-refundable 25% deposit within 10 days of invoice and the remaining 75%, plus listed extras, no later than 90 days before embarkation. Paid sums are forfeited on guest cancellation under those terms; half-boat and whole-boat arrangements have different payment schedules. Insurance must be evaluated against its actual covered cancellation reasons, not merely the operator’s recommendation to buy it.
Dewi Nusantara: price, extras and cancellation termsSafety provisions and the remote evacuation limit
The operations page says each diver is provided with an SMB, whistle and Nautilus marine rescue GPS locator, with instruction at the start of the cruise. It lists oxygen and first-aid equipment, a first-day safety briefing and a safety drill during each cruise. These are operator-reported provisions; this guide has not independently inspected equipment, servicing records or escape routes.
The same operator warns that emergency air evacuation is not always available. Its FAQ says reaching a hyperbaric chamber could take up to three days in some circumstances. Neither a locator nor onboard oxygen guarantees rapid definitive treatment. The material planning decision is whether the chosen remote programme and its evacuation limitations fit your experience and insurance, not whether the cabin is marketed as luxury.
